Barbara Kincaid 

Barb has volunteered at GaitWay since 1999.  She has also served on a number of local, state, regional and national boards.  Barb received her schooling in Bryn Mawr, PA and the University of Arizona.  She worked as the Company Manager for the Tucson Metropolitan Ballet Company in the 1970s. Barb also worked in the King and Frisch Law Offices.

Melissa Friesenborg

Vice President

Melissa Friesenborg, owner of Balanced Spirit Pilates Studio, is a certified Pilates teacher with 14 years of experience and more than 750 program training hours.  She specializes in techniques using mats, the cadillac, and reformer. Her desire is to help her clients achieve their fitness goals to a healthier, well-rounded, holistic life. Melissa has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Iowa State, nonprofit, and private sector organizations in Tucson. Melissa is internationally and nationally known.

Mary Hare  

Mary has lived in Tucson since 1975. She has a Master of Science in Nursing and worked professionally in women’s health care positions and taught nurse practitioner and midwifery students at the University of Arizona. She has been the volunteer ED at GaitWay since 1998.

Pi Polletta   

Pi has worked with GaitWay since 2009.  She originally wrote grants for the organization before becoming the Director of Development in 2015.  Pi previously worked as a Marketing Manager for a local manufacturing company.  She lives in Oro Valley with her husband, son and various pets.

Cora Keegan-Tucker


Cora Keegan-Tucker is a Military Spouse that has been a resident of Tucson since 2009. Her son has been participating in the Conductive Education Program offered at Gaitway for over five years.

Peggie Allen


Peggie is a native Tucsonan. She is married and has two daughters, Kelsey 24 and Marielle 13. Kelsey started in GaitWay’s Programs in the summer of 1998 and now attends the Adult Day Program. Peggie graduated from the University of Arizona with B.A. in General Studies. She has worked in hospital and nonprofit administration. Peggie currently also volunteers at Tohono Chul Park.

Jessica Jauck

Jessica worked at GaitWay during the summer camps in 2008 and 2009. She started working full time in 2011. She has her B.S. in Psychology from The University of the Cumberlands, a Certificate in Conductive Education from Governors State University, and is currently working towards her Masters in Entry Level Nursing at the University of Arizona. In her spare time Jessica enjoys her rambunctious Catahoula dog, Punkin.
